Christmas Is Coming

We are starting to take delivery of new Christmas stock and therefore this is the last week we will be offering last years stock at 40% off.  As an added incentive we shall be giving loyalty stamps to all purchases up until Tuesday 12th August - after this most Christmas stock prices will revert to full price.

Bead Making Class

On Friday 6th June we have a beadmaking taster session.  The class runs from 10.30am - 1.30pm.  The cost is just £10 which includes all materials and tea/coffee/biscuits etc.  Places are limited so contact us as soon as possible to book - payment can be made in person at the shop or by credit card over the phone.

New from Crafter's Companion

The new Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils have only been in a week and are flying off the shelves.  I have only used the Essentials Set so far - having to resist the temptation to dip into another set but the results are wonderful.  We still have a few sets left and also stock the Blending Solution which makes for really good results.

We also have in the full range of Rachelle Anne Miller stamps - most are really cut - but some are Ewe stamps which would suit everybody.

Some New Arrivals

We have just received delivery of all these gorgous acrylic paints from DecoArt - 42 of their most popular colours plus three metallic and glaze.  In addition we also have some of the Chalkboard and Shimmer Paints from Creative Expressions.  And all this because we are inspired by

the Creative Palette from Stampendous.  If you have ever wanted to create your own background papers this is just for you (and no two will ever be the same).  We have also brought in the DecoArt Drying Time Extender to make sure that you get the most out of your Acrylic Paints.

Dreamweaver

I spent two days at Woodware in Yorkshire on the Dreamweaver Certification Course - I learn so many useful tips and applications which I can use in future classes.  Whilst on the course we were given two stencils and were asked to use one, both (or even part of them) in a project to be completed after the course.  This is my final project (we also had to write out the instructions for completing this - mine ran to three pages!).  The base was the Art Nouveau Stencil which was embossed and shading was applied by the Strie method.  The elephant was a new stencil released this year and pasted in matte black.  The blanket was added using Metallic F/X and then adhesive jewels added to complete the effect.  I e-mailed this over to Lynell in the States on Monday afternoon and on Tuesday afternoon received a lovely reply back saying that I was now a Certified Dreamweaver Stencil Teacher.
